To be a welcoming spiritual light in Milton Keynes, inspiring hearts with clarity, compassion and wisdom towards the guidance, mercy and peace of Islam….
A brief introduction to Islam
Islam is a way of life that brings peace by submitting to the will of Allah (God). It is not a new religion, but rather the final message of guidance revealed to humanity through the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), following in the tradition of earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus (peace be upon them all).
ʿAqāʾid al-Īmān
The six articles of faith
Six Articles of Faith (ʿAqāʾid al-Īmān) are the core beliefs every Muslim must hold
Allah is the One and only God.
Only He deserves worship.
He is perfect, unique and unlike His creation.
In Islam, angels are real creations of Allah. They are created from light and have no free will.
They are not divine and must not be worshipped.
One day, life will end.
Those who rejected His guidance will be rewarded with eternal life in hellfire.
Allah sent prophets to every nation.
They were the best of people, but still human, not divine.
One day, life will end.
Those who accepted His guidance will be rewarded with eternal bliss in paradise.
Everything happens according to Allah’s knowledge, will and plan.
Allah knows everything that has happened.
Why Islam?
A way of life that balances faith, justice, and mercy.
Recognising the Creator
Islam begins with the most fundamental truth: everything that exists must have a cause.
"Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?" (Quran 52:35)
One God with No Intermediaries or Partners
Islam teaches that God (Allah) is One, without partners, equals or intermediaries.
Say, “He is Allah, who is One, Allah the Self-sufficient, He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent." (Quran 112:1-4)
Continuity of Revelation
The message of Islam is the same as that brought by earlier prophets
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets." (Quran 33:40)
Preservation of the Quran
Unlike earlier scriptures that were altered over time, the Quran has been preserved
Indeed, it is We who sent down the Quran and indeed, We will be its guardian." (Quran 15:9)
Accountability and The Hereafter
Islam explains that this life is a test.
Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it." (Quran 99:7-8)
