Street Dawah in Central Milton Keynes

What is the purpose of life? If God exists, why does this evil happen in the world? In this weekly Islamic outreach mission, Mk Dawah answers all these questions from an Islamic perspective.

Two different people at different moments came up with the same question. What is the relationship between Islam, Christianity, and Judaism? How all Prophets connected as a part of the message of One God.

It was the first time they were getting to know this. They stopped and talked for a long time and took Qurans. With the divine mercy, the MK team distributed  27 free copies of the Quran and many leaflets.

Discovering The Purpose Of Life According To Islam In CMK:

In Islam, the purpose of life is to worship Allah alone, spend your live according to His guidance. Seeking knowledge and forgiveness from your Lord by submitting to him. Doing good deeds and having Taqwa to achieve success in the eternal afterlife.

A brother named Tom, he lived near the CMK library and saw us for years. But it was the first time someone talked to him. We had a great conversation with him about the topic “What is the purpose of life”?

He expressed his genuine thoughts, and his phone started ringing. He said it was his sister and she’s climbing Mount Everest.  Live pictures were coming on his phone when our brother Rajhi was giving Dawah to him.

He showed him pictures, and our brother said look at the sky. It’s such a deep blue on his phone, how magnificent. Don’t you think it’s a sign from the creator? He agreed and explained how beautiful the moments were there.

We talked about how things look beautiful on our phones. But how majestic it would be when you stand next to a mountain. You feel yourself so small and think there’s a supreme being who manages everything.

Then he opens up that his mother passed away last year. Her sister misses her so much and goes there because she thinks that’s the only way to get closer to her mother. It was all their thought process.

Then our Dawah guy explained to him the importance of the mother in Islam and the Quran and in our teachings. He liked it, and it gave him some comfort. After that, he went to the store and took a leaflet.

Our brother didn’t offer him a Quran copy because, in our MK Dawah framework, we start a conversation with the purpose of life. To see where we are with the next person. Because they may be suitable for a Quran or may not.

Then we had another conversation with a Chinese and an English lady. They had a very good friendship. The Chinese lady has a religion, but the English lady doesn’t have one. When we asked them the question what is your purpose of life?

The white lady said she didn’t know the purpose of her life, and she doesn’t need one. Time was running out because we were coming back to prayer. That’s why we were unable to continue the conversation with them.

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

In CMK, We Give Dawah To An Atheist:

CMK team, Hamza, Munib, and Fayza were having a conversation with an atheist. He mentions that science is the basis of beliefs and everything. He seems like a quiet, scientific person.

We started speaking about the scientific facts in the Quran. How 1400 years ago the Quran was revealed in Arabic, and it contained scientific miracles. It comes at a time when they didn’t have authentic means to prove them.

Nowadays, or in recent times, we have the means to test and prove these theories. And they’re realizing it’s true, which speaks about the authenticity of the Quran.

He said that he believed that the Quran followed the same basis as the Bible. Where it has been changed over time, and someone would have maybe introduced this into the Quran passages about these facts.

Then we let him know that the Quran has been mass-transmitted over the past 1400 years. Unchanged in Arabic, and the Bible is not like that. The earliest of the Bible we have is the one in Greek, and then it came out in Aramaic.

As soon as we explained this point to him, he started jumping 360 degrees to another point. Start speaking about how and what Islam provides for us. He expected an answer from three of us, and from there, the conversation went nowhere.

O Allah, allow us to do our best in giving da’wah and reminding them of Your Oneness and the message of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Put barakah in our words and make them reach their hearts. Ameen

Has The Quran Been Perfectly Preserved? Conversation in Kingston

Yes, the Quran has been preserved in its original Arabic form for over 1400 years without a single word changing. Companions of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) memorize and compile it in written form after each revelation.

A man approached our dawah stall and said he had picked up the Quran some time ago from us. But he didn’t find the time to read it. He has an Iraqi friend who has also lost his path, but now he’s finding his way back gradually.

During the chat, the MK Dawah team explains to him how the Quran has been preserved word by word. And no one can amend a single word or line in it. We encourage him to find time to read it.

Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder (the Qur’an), and indeed, We will be its guardian.

Quran (15:9)

He left by taking a leaflet, and our brothers told him that he can come back to ask any question that comes to his mind.

May the divine mercy put barakah in his time and guide his heart to take the first step towards the Quran. Ameen.

Why Does Allah Allow Suffering? Street Dawah Conversation In Bletchley

In Islam, suffering is a means of purification and a test of your faith. It is a reminder of our dependency on Allah (S.A.W). Islam teaches us that life is a test, and you have the free will to choose between evil and virtue. If everything goes well, so what’s the purpose of the Day of Judgement and Jannah?

An elderly sister who has Parkinson’s and doesn’t believe in any religion came to our stall. She said, “If God was there, why should this happen to me?” Brother Sadiq talked to her and made her understand what she is blessed with that she is not recognizing.

He used an example that if there is a blind person with her, she is fortunate to have her eyesight. But she is not recognizing, and there are a lot of blessings we do not recognize. We sometimes focus on what we do not have and reject everything else.

We always compare ourselves with other people’s blessings and do not count what we have. Showing gratitude and focusing on what we have gives peace to the heart and mind.
