This Week, Youngsters Take Over Milton Keynes Dawah

We all plan our lives hoping for the best results, be it financial freedom, relationships, or growth in faith. But things depend on intentions and God’s decree. Because He’s the best of planners, nothing happens without his permission.

The same thing happened with us last week. Our team members got feedback that the weekly MK Dawah meeting is not serving its purpose. But we have 3 people who joined that meeting to be part of our team.

They wouldn’t be here today with us if they didn’t join that meeting. All three of them are doing their first live outreach with us. People say many things, but they forget. Everything happens from Allah.

With His Mercy, we also witness a new Shahada at Al Rawdha Mosque. Brother Octavia took his first step into Islam and embraced the faith with conviction, Alhamdulillah.

Al-Rawdha Mosque has been a blessed place for us; you can read about another Shahada witnessed at Al-Rawdha Mosque in an earlier weekly reflection.

Additionally, we also have so many interesting conversations. How a stranger wants to cook us food when he will come next week to meet us again. A young agnostic who doesn’t believe in any religion but came back later to have a further discussion.

How People In CMK Spread Islam?

What is the belief in one God in Islam? It is called Tawhid and the core foundation of faith. Believing that Allah is the only worthy of worship. There’s no supreme being and creator except him. He’s singular and unique in His attributes.

This question was discussed in the memorable conversation with a brother called Stephen. He had a very deep discussion with the team about the message of Islam and the belief in one God. He also believed in one God, and at one point it genuinely felt as though he was embracing Islam.

But Shaitan pulled him away before the moment fully developed.  He promised to return next week, InshaAllah. He’s actually a chef and said he’s going to make us food next week. A fellow volunteer asked if it wouldn’t be halal.

He said I know what halal is? These type of moments reminds Allah’s provision for believers. He’s Al Razaq, who provides His created beings from unexpected sources.

“Indeed, Allah is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.”

Milton Keynes Team In Northampton Soon

A brother who’s a doctor by profession visited our Dawah stand last week. He’s from Northampton and expressed his desire to establish an outreach booth there. He said I wish you guys would join. So, the MK team will be there to support him in calling people to Islam.

Our brother Ghabbin is from Northampton, and he will join him. A young soul who joined us last week is also from Northampton, but he came back to Milton Keynes. He said I’ll go back and support there.

Brothers from the team are connecting to stand by. We want to build a solid system to start a new Islamic outreach community there. It’s Al-Rahman’s favor that Islam is spreading in new towns of the UK. May Allah make this mission successful and a source of khair for the ummah, Ameen.

Individuals in Kingston Make Claims About The Quran

Has the Bible been changed over time? We spent 30 minutes discussing this question with a Christian man. He believed the Bible has been changed over time due to different translations. But convinced the message is still the same.

Our team gave him the criteria to access all religious books. His mind was blocked, and he said I will not read the Quran. Just because the Quran said Jesus wasn’t crucified. He made claims about the Quran, which he hasn’t read yet.

We tried to get him to take one and read, but he declined. May Allah (S.A.W) help him to see beyond the misconceptions he holds about Islam and guide him towards the right path, Ameen.

He Doesn’t Believe Anything, But Later Came Back To Our Dawah Stand

A young lad who doesn’t believe anything. After the short conversation took a Quran and a leaflet. Because the Quran is an open source of hidayah for everyone, no matter the religion.

A few minutes later, he came back and asked intelligent questions about Islam. A very similar to how an agnostic returned to our dawah stall with more questions in a previous session. Brothers clarified his every question, and he agreed with them. At the start of conversations, people act resilient and do not accept any of your perspectives.

But patience and respectful dialogue melt their hearts and minds. This is Islamic invitation all about: we don’t have to force our opinions. But clarifying them by answering their queries.

How Jesus Became A Bridge Between Two Faiths At Our Bletchley Outreach Stall

Christians and Muslims deeply respect Jesus (Masih) as an esteemed figure. But they have different religious perspectives about him. But this belief provides a common ground to continue the conversation during our community outreach.

A lady walked past the store and asked Brother Rajhi Do you have a Quran copy? He said no, and Brother Abdullah gave her a Jesus leaflet. She said, You know we believe in Jesus too, and left, taking the pamphlet.

How The Milton Keynes Dawah Team Handles Arguments With Patience

We are here to invite people to the path of steadfastness, not to win arguments. We do Dawah only for the sake of Allah, and He’s the only one who can give reward. But sometimes it’s the test of your faith and sabr.

A man came to us and started asking different questions. What is this? What’s that, and how can you define this to me? Our brother tried his best to clear things up for him. But after every answer, he started arguing.

The best thing is from Allah, and if we make a mistake, it’s from ourselves. So, when our brother feels uncomfortable, he calls the other members into the conversation. Everything happens from the Almighty. He’s Al-Hadi, who can guide a heart.

We are nothing, just trying best with our knowledge. But sometimes, involving these types of conversations is a test from Him. You are in fight-or-flight mode, but you have to handle the challenges with sabr and sincerity.

See a detailed debate of how the MK Dawah team handles difficult conversations with patience in one of our earlier Bletchley sessions.

Islam spreads the message of peace even toward those who oppose you. It’s Al Rahman’s favor that chooses us to continue the mission of His beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel (evil) with that which is better; then the one between whom and you was enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend. “
