Reflections of Central Milton Keynes Dawah Mission:

What is Dawah in Islam? Is it a respectful process of sharing one’s spiritual belief? Are people allowed to share their perspectives? And explore Islam before making any decision.

These are the questions that the MK Dawah team encountered the most.

Islam is a religion of peace and offers guidance without forcing anyone. On a dry sunny day, our team arrives at their designated areas. With hearts full of hope, twakal on Almighty and minds ready to listen to people’s queries.

Guiding those who take the first step of courage to find the truth. Answering their questions and giving them clarity with the gestures of Islam. But Dawah isn’t always exploring and sharing perspectives.

Sometimes, people challenge your activity and throw some harsh words. They never give up and came back again the next Saturday with their questions. The same situation we witnessed this Saturday, and patiently guided his misconceptions as gently as possible.

Another Soul Embraces Islam In CMK:

An 18 years old English man named Liam came to our stall. We started the conversation by asking him about the purpose of life. This question made him think about it. Then we went through the process of GORAP (iERA method of talking about God, Prophets, Messengers, and their revelations).

He was very clear, and when we gave him details, he never refuted anything. Everything makes sense to him; we didn’t ask, he is looking into any religion. As he mentioned earlier, he is not following any religion. But when we asked, he agreed to everything, and he said yes.

But there was a bit of hesitation in taking shahadah. Initially, he wanted some time and so on, but eventually we convinced him to take the shahadah. Because obviously, we don’t know what our lifespan is.

Alhamdulillah, he took his shahadah and accepted Islam. We will try to establish a mentoring program with him, to teach him the basics, InshaAllah. Also, integrate him into our brother Muslim community of the UK to experience brotherhood as Ramadan is coming up. It’s a great time, if we get him to start attending and having Iftar, doing Taraweeh with us.

Indeed, you do not guide whom you love, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the rightly guided.

 Qur’an 28:56

Are We Special As Human Beings?

Brother Adil had a conversation with a man who’s an uncommitted atheist. He liked to discuss theology, and Adil explained to him his worldview. He is struggling because of his Christian background that Christian is exceptionalism.

We human beings are the greatest creation. He’s struggling to understand human beings being unique. He believed that there are more other creations outside of the world. We can believe in and the whole universe.

We explained to him that we are limited as human beings. We have our own limitations. However, we are still unique, we are still special. It was a great time with him, and he was a very kind person.

And We have certainly honored the children of Adam.

 (Qur’an 17:70)

Then, brother Adil had another lovely conversation with brother Dennis. He was a Christian but very open-minded about other beliefs. He was willing to take a copy of the Quran straight away. He emphasizes the belief in one God and stated he will read the Quran. And will came back with his questions.

Mission To Open Hearts In Kingston:

Some people converted to Islam but still feel an invisible wall that takes them away.  Other agrees that there is one mighty power that controls everything in the universe. But their heart has not yet been granted the light of faith.

We had a discussion with a very open-minded brother named Harry. He knows a little bit about the pillars of Islam. Believe in the power of God, the one who created everything.

We explained the pillars of Islam to him in detail and told him about the concept of Islam.

The origin of the Quran and the Prophets, everyone worships only Allah.

He took 2x leaflets and doesn’t take the Quran, because he might not read it. But took the Quran (short journey) leaflet.

And if you ask them who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely say, ‘The All-Mighty, the All-Knowing created them.

Qur’an 43:9

Welcoming Her In The Muslim Revert Group UK:

After converting to Islam, the main problem a revert faces in the UK is not having proper support. We had a conversation with a revert sister; she reverted 3 years back. But she said she feels like drifted away from Islam.

She took the Quran and leaflet, advised to read the Quran often, and watch the people in her circle. We added her to our Muslim sisters’ revert group for further guidance and to learn the basics of Islam.

May Allah (S.W.T) make it easy for her, open her heart to the truth, and expand her understanding. Ameen

He Doesn’t Give Up:

Mr. Oliver is not giving up, and he comes again with his questions. Doing Dawah and preaching the message of one God is not an easy mission. Oliver told brother Junaid that we are corrupting people with one God message and one message poster.

We further explained to him that all Prophets preaches to worship only one God. He agreed with us, but then came up with another question. We had a few words with him and let him go.

May Almighty make his curiosity a turning point for him and enlighten his heart with the light of Islam. Ameen

Bletchley A Speaker Corner for Dawah:

It was a decent day at Bletchley with an interesting fact that we had a small speaker corner atmosphere. Our team set the table at 10 am, a Christian sister and a few Jehovah’s Witnesses stationed near us for Dawah too.

As the day picked up, with Divine mercy, we had interesting conversations. The first one is with a Pagon brother who believed in the divinity of nature. He mentioned that he read the Quran earlier.

May Almighty grant him clarity in his choices and show him the right path with His mercy. Ameen

The Quran Doesn’t Make Any Sense to Him:

During the interaction with an elderly Christian couple, who initially said he read the Quran. But nothing made sense to him, our brother Sadiq corrected him by asking to point out at least one that didn’t make sense to him. But he was not able to do.

The discussion progressed to an argument, if God is one, opposed to his point of God as three in one. We explain it with a verse from Surah Al–imran 45-55 with the example of Jesus in the sight of Allah, like that of Adam. Brother Adil quoted Mark 13:32 were Jesus said only father knows about the last hour.

This brought him to think about his understanding, stated by taking him and his son as examples. He will be more knowledgeable than his son in this worldly scenario. We pointed out to him that it’s 2 individuals with two levels of knowledge. As Jesus and Father are two different individuals, and God is the only one and all-knowing.

He finally took the Quran to read and understand. May Al-Hadi clear his misconceptions and grant him clarity through the message of His Book. Ameen

She Connects With Our Sisters At Masjid:

Islamic outreach is an outdoor process where you have street Dawah conversations in the UK. But the mosque is the heart of this process, where you meet with your Muslim community. Learn the basics of Islam and get support in any desired area.

A Muslim sister came to us and mentioned she wants to connect with our sisters at the Masjid. We shared our sister Razia’s number with her. Then two other sisters came to us and asked for a copy of the Quran.

When we came back to Masjid Al-Rawdha for Zuhr prayer, two sisters were on police duty. They were interested in reading the Quran, and we gave them a copy each as well. Alhamdulillah.

May Al-Rahman accept our efforts and put Barakah in our mission. Ameen

Planting the Seeds of Guidance:

Taking a Quran copy can be someone’s first step. Words that heal their internal battles and answer the questions they never asked to someone. Literature reflects the struggles and efforts they made to find the right path.

We give 13 copies of the Quran, 16 Love of God, 12 Life after life & 5 The last messager.

7 What the Bible said about Muhammad, 19 Making sense of God, 5 God’s testimony and many leaflets.

As they turn pages, may Allah remove their misconceptions, sufferings of the past, and fill their hearts with peace. Ameen

Be A Part of the MK Dawah Team:

I’m so thankful to the team of MK Dawah for being steadfast in their mission. Handling every situation with such wisdom because dawah isn’t a smooth journey every time. Today, an individual becomes so harsh with one of our brothers. May Allah reward the best of His rewards for his patience and dealing the individual calmly. Every hardship you endure in this mission is seen by Allah and will be rewarded. Every step you make is counted and written by angels.
So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.

Qur’an 99:7
