Some of the Dawah days are quiet enough. You stay the full day, but not a single person comes up. You try your best to reach out to people to have conversations. But nothing goes the way you planned.
This week, our team faced a similar situation in Bletchley. Because of road work in the town center, everything looked busy. The MK Dawah volunteers stayed there until 12 o’clock. It is Allah who sends people our way, and our duty is simply to be there and share the message.
Whether someone approaches our Dawah stall or simply walks away. When we were closing, a young lad came to talk. It was worth the full day of waiting and all our efforts, Alhamdulillah.
After the conversation, he moved away with a copy of the Quran. And said he would come back again with more questions. Meanwhile in CMK and Kingston, we have meaningful conversations with atheists and Christian people who want to explore Islam.
Let’s get into it and take a look at the stories behind these conversations.
In CMK, an Atheist Woman Took the Qur’an to Give It a Read
There was a lady who was parking her car, and we approached her. She said she didn’t believe in God, but we presented her Quran to read. Brother said, at the very least, take it for a read. If you believe in it, fine; otherwise you’re not going to lose anything.
She said, I’m not a big reader. So, we gave her a small summarized Quran, which she took. SubhanAllah, brother made a good argument to convince her to at least read the Quran.

Brother Ricky tried to have a conversation with her. But she agreed to some points and didn’t agree to others. She promised to read the summarized version of the Quran, Alhamdulillah. There was another atheist lady who spoke to brother Aamir.
After having a short conversation, she also left with a copy of the Quran. Unlike two atheist sisters who once refused everything before taking the Quran at our CMK stall. May Allah SWT accept it from us and guide their hearts with the light of Iman, Ameen.
In Kingston, He Always Saw Muslims but Never Looked Into Islam
Who is God in Islam? In Islam, God is Allah, the supreme creator who is unique in His attributes. He is the only worthy of worship and has no partners, parents, or children. He is the nurturer, controller, and sustainer of the whole world.
In the Quran, He is referred to as Rabul-al-Alamin, meaning the Lord of the Worlds. The Lord of heaven and earth who created everything in them. He created us too on this Earth with a purpose.
What does God want from us as His creation? According to Islam, God wants His creation to worship Him and obey Him. It’s not for Him because He doesn’t need anything from us. He has a creation of angels to worship him.
As humans, we need it for our spiritual growth and inner peace. Just as our bodies need food, our souls need nourishment too. And that nourishment comes from obeying and worshipping Allah. In Islam, it is more than five daily prayers. You have to make your living according to God’s guidance.

How does God convey His message to human beings/humanity? Allah selected some of His most righteous and pious servants to carry His message, and they are known as the Prophets. In Islam, every Prophet called their nation to worship the One God, including Prophets Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, and Jesus.
Prophet Muhammad SAW is the last messenger to whom He revealed His final book, the Quran. The Holy book that is the central scripture of Islam. Muslims believe that these are the direct words of Allah.
All of them call people to the message of one God through gentle preaching and profound patience. As the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) ummah, now it’s our duty to continue this prophetic mission of calling people to Islam.
We had this notable conversation with a young man named Neil from Ghana. He’s a Christian but still in the process of understanding. He lived in Gambia for a while and saw Muslims but really doesn’t understand the religion.
He wants to look into Islam and, after having the full conversation. He agreed that it’s only God who revealed the Holy Book, the Quran. He reminds us of the journey of a young Christian in Kingston who agreed with the Islamic concept of God after being encouraged to look beyond what he’d been taught. He accepted a copy of the Quran and was told that he could visit the Masjid for more questions.
We also let him know that we’re always at the stand every Saturday. So, he can come freely to discuss any query or doubt he has while reading the Quran.
Join MK Dawah And Make A Difference
Dawah is one of the notable and beloved actions in Islam. It is a task entrusted to believers by following the mission of Prophets and messengers. But Shaitan hates it because by giving Dawah you’re taking his followers away.
Guidance only belongs to Allah, but He chooses you as a mean to guide people towards Noor. Taking people away from Jahanum (hell) towards Jannat (heaven). Your one interaction or a short conversation can change someone’s life.
It’s not always about teaching non-Muslims about your deen. Sometimes your brothers and sisters who are not practicing much need your help. Your one advice, a kind gesture, and guidance make them practicing Muslim.
The tremendous reward for every action they take is continually added to your record of deeds. So what are you waiting for? Don’t let Shaitan trick you. Take your first step and join the Milton Keynes dawah team to spread the message of Islam.
You can contact us through our website contact form, email, phone, and social media platforms. We would love to have you.
