Don’t people know what Dawah is in Islam? We do it every Saturday at our fixed locations in CMK, Kingston and Bletchley. We believe people will know enough about what we are doing. But this week, we got questions from the public: “What are you guys doing”?
They said “Yes” with us, reflected for a moment, and started asking questions. Few of them know there’s a supreme being. But they are stuck in the concept of God. In this era of social media, they have a stack of information. But not a clear direction that answers their doubts.
A young lad who wanted to learn about Islam took some leaflets. But refused to accept the physical copy of the Quran. Because it caused an issue in his house. It shows that people of Milton Keynes are in search of true faith.
They are taking the initiative to explore, learn, and research independently. Some family issues, cultural hurdles, and society pressure stop them from showing up. May Allah make their journey easy and grant them a clear understanding of Islam.
What Is Dawah At CMK?
A gentleman stopped by our Dawah stall and said, “What are you guys doing?” Brother explained to him, “What is meant by Dawah in Islam”? It is an act of inviting people towards the message of one God.
There’s one God (Allah) who is only worthy of worship. He is the creator and sustainer of the universe. Then told about the teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW, and that He is the last messenger of Allah.
Clear their misconceptions and doubts about the religion of Islam. After learning what Dawah actually is. He left with a copy of the Quran to explore more about it, Alhamdulillah.

What Does Islam Say About Racism?
The other interaction was with a brother who explained how there’s racism in his country. The difference between white and black. We explained this concept to him with respect to Islam.
There’s no difference or superiority among human beings based on their color, culture, or values. Everyone is equal before Allah, and their piety measures an individual’s superiority.
As our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW said in his final sermon:
“No Arab has superiority over a non-Arab, nor does a non-Arab have superiority over an Arab. A white person has no superiority over a black person, nor does a black person have superiority over a white person except by piety.”
What Does God Want From Us? Conversation In Kingston
The two young boys, Henes and Curtis, one was a pagan, and the other was a Christian. They stopped at our booth to discuss the oneness of God, the Day of Judgement, and good deeds.
Their primary question was, “What does Allah want from us”? The MK Dawah volunteers explained to them the purpose of human beings in this dunya. The Almighty has created us to worship Him and act as His steward for humanity.
We have to do good deeds and become a source of benefit for the ummah. For a believer, this world is temporary and a test of faith to prepare them for eternal life in Jannah. Everyone is held accountable for their deeds on the day of judgment.
Both of them left by taking some leaflets and one copy of the Quran each. We let them know that if they have any questions, they can visit us every Saturday at any of our three stalls in Kingston, Bletchley, and CMK.
May Al-Hadi grant these youngsters Hidayah and fill their hearts with the light of Iman, Ameen.
People Discovering The Concept Of God In Bletchley
The MK Dawah team had a great community outreach this Saturday in Bletchley. After setting up the stall, the first discussion was with a lady aged around 40-50 years. She was quite keen to speak about the Creator.
She believed in one God, although she had some other views on the concept of the Trinity. Brothers spoke to her about the oneness of God, how everything came into being, how things started from Adam and Eve, and different revelations.
We also talked about former scriptures that we as Muslims believe as well. However, they were obviously corrupted, and the final revelation came in. The Holy Quran, with the seal that this book cannot be changed.

Allah is its guardian, and no mankind in this world can change a single word in it. We offered her a copy of the Qur’an, but she said she got one at home. We said to her that we are here in Bletchley every Saturday at 9 am. If she has any questions, she can come to us.
There was another brother who spoke to us. He shared his point of view that there’s a higher being. But he couldn’t get the concept of God. These days, information is everywhere; he was thinking of what to believe or not.

Brothers advised him to go to the Quran. He got a physical copy of the Quran and said, ” I will look into it”, InshaAllah.
An atheist brother who stopped at our store with his baby in the stroller. He believed there could be a supreme being. But he was willing to learn about life after death. He left by taking a Love of God leaflet.
With the grace of divine mercy, we had many productive conversations with the public. During the session, we distributed 3 Qurans and 55 leaflets, including Making Sense of God, The Last Messenger, Love of God, and The Man in Red Underpants.
