MK Dawah Giving Free Qurans In Central Milton Keynes

People of Central Milton Keynes don’t know what the Quran is about. During this week’s community outreach, most of the people came to our Dawah stalls. They’re amazed by our work but have no idea about the Quran. A few of them personally requested a copy.

A couple approached us and said how much we would need to pay to get a copy. Brother said it’s free for everyone. They were so surprised that they stopped to discuss Islam. A Jewish lady wanted us to change our tone with her. At the end of the discussion, she moved away with some leaflets.

At the beginning of the conversations, some people showed a bit of attitude or reluctance. The MK Dawah team’s approach of handling their question makes them receptive and interested in the discussion.

This is the essence of Dawah. You have to inspire people with your actions first before offering Islamic material. Go through the article to see how our dawah crew clears their doubts with the light of Islam.

“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in the best manner.”

What Is The Quran About? A Discussion In CMK

What does the Quran say about the purpose of life? Can a non-muslim read the Quran? The MK Dawah team discussed with an elderly lady. She had never read the Quran in her whole life. We introduced her to the core beliefs and themes of the Quran.

The Quran is the central scripture of Islam. Muslims believe it is the exact words of Allah, revealed to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) over 23 years through the angel Gabriel. In the Quran, Allah SWT taught us that the main purpose of our lives is to worship Him.

He’s the sole creator, unique in His attributes, and has no partners. There are reminders about the day of judgment and resurrection. Everyone has free will in this dunya to choose between wrong and right.

People will be held accountable for their deeds, which determine whether their eternal home is hell or heaven. The Almighty explains the stories of the Prophets to illustrate the consequences of good and evil. How He is with those who remain patient and steadfast.

We then spoke about Islam as an open religion. Everyone is welcome to read the Quran to seek knowledge and make their own decision about the faith.

“There is no compulsion in religion.”

Quran (2:256)

Then a gentleman with his wife came to our Dawah stand and asked, “How much do I need to pay to get a copy of the Quran”? The brother said it’s free for everyone in Central Milton Keynes.  He took a copy, and his wife looked very interested.

Free Qurans in CMK

They reminded us of a family in CMK who’d already been discussing buying a Quran the night before. In the morning, SubhanAllah, they came to our Dawah store and got two free copies.

The couple was from Northampton and intrigued to know that we believe in Jesus and other Prophets. They said they’d read the Quran and come back with more questions.

May Al-Hadi make this Quran the beginning of their journey towards the truth. Fill their hearts with the peace and tranquillity of Islam, Ameen.

Does Islam Say Everyone Is Equal?

In Islam, every human being has equal fundamental rights and dignity. No one is superior to another based on their color, race, or wealth.  Every person is equal before Allah; the only distinction is in piety.

During the discussion, a Jewish lady expected us to change our tone towards her. We don’t know why. Because at the end of the day, we are all from Allah. Everyone has equal rights, so how can we treat someone with more honor and esteem?

This was the same principle we discussed before with a brother who faced racism in his home country. She was not a practicing Jew but quite receptive throughout the conversation. She took some leaflets and was open to further conversations, as she is currently travelling in the UK.

Does Calling Jesus “The Word Of God” Make Him God? A Perspective In Bletchley

Calling Jesus the Word of God doesn’t mean He is God. In Islam, it means he is created by the Almighty’s direct command: “Be” (Kun). Every child comes into this world through a biological process and has a human father.

But Jesus came into being through God’s spoken word delivered to Mary by the angel Gabriel. The Quran refers to him not as more than the messenger of Allah and the fulfillment of His word.

The miracles Allah SWT granted him demonstrate his honor and status as one of the major Prophets. He invited humanity to the message of one God, who alone is worthy of worship. This perspective is at the heart of a conversation with Christian evangelists in Bletchley.

Milton Keynes Dawah calling people to the message of one God in Bletchley

Her name was Monalisa, and she walked up to our Dawah table, amazed that we were inviting people to faith. She mentioned that she used to be an evangelist earlier in Bletchley. But now she had stopped going to church and wanted to learn more about Islam.

She wanted to learn about other religions before deciding to follow a faith completely.  During the conversation, we compared Adam with Jesus, who was also created without a father. She claimed that the case of Adam is different from Jesus.

While Adam was created, God breathed life into him. But Jesus was the Word of God, which is the representation of God, and makes Jesus God. We encountered a similar situation before in Bletchley. When a Christian lady who believed in one God but also Jesus as the Son of God.

But Monalisa held on to her argument and took a copy of the Quran. She promised to come back next Saturday to discuss more. After reading the verses, the MK Dawah team marked in her copy throughout the discussion.
