Does Dawah mean to take Shahadas? People come to learn and explore more about Islam. It’s only Allah who can guide a heart. Our purpose is not to convert them but to share the message of our beloved Prophet with wisdom and clarity.
This week, most of the people came not to listen but to share their thoughts. What they think about Islam and other religions. How they define their perspective on life. How other people influence stop someone from exploring more about the religion of truth.
People were receptive to leaflets but hesitant to take a Quran copy. An Indian sister who first took the Quran and later on returned it with an apology. A volunteer from MK Interfaith appreciated the Islamic definition of worship. He also invited us to attend the festival on 5 November at 7:00 p.m.
A Christian brother was fascinated when we told him Muslims also believe in Jesus. Many other interesting and real conversations included a Christian lad who doesn’t pray to Jesus.

A Free Quran Sparked Unexpected Moment In Milton Keynes
An Indian sister happily came to accept a copy of the Quran. However, as she was leaving, someone with her asked her to return it. She apologized and reluctantly handed it back.
MK Dawah team witnessed these incidents many times before during their weekly street Dawah.

People hesitate to take their Shahada because of society’s pressure. They feel held back and wonder whether society will accept them. They were already practicing Islam long before that.
May Al-Qawiyy give them courage to accept Islam openly. To keep moving on the path of steadfastness without fearing what others may say about them, Ameen.
How Has the Quran Been Truly Preserved In Its Original Form?
Quran has been preserved from the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW. When a revelation came down, He recited it in front of His companions. Sahaba memorized the Quranic verses and preserved them by writing them down on bones, leather, or which stuff available at that time.
The Qur’an has been preserved through an unbroken chain of reciters and Huffaz. Each learned directly from a qualified teacher in a tradition that stretches back centuries to Prophet Muhammad SAW.
In the Qur’an, Allah SWT mentioned Himself as the guardian and protector of His book.
“Indeed, it is We who sent down the Reminder, and indeed, We will surely preserve it.”
(Qur’an 15:9)
This beautiful conversation started with two African brothers. They were very receptive and engaging throughout the conversation. At the end of the discussion, they left with a copy of the clear Quran.
In Kingston, A Pastor Shared His Journey From Islam To Christianity
While setting up, a Pastor approached our Dawah stall. He mentioned being a former Muslim who later found the light and became a Christian. We asked him what made him change, and he kept saying I saw the light.
We let him know that’s a personal experience, but did he practice Islam before converting? He mentioned that he went to Islamic school and all. But didn’t give a convincing answer. The MK Dawah team mentioned that what really matters is knowing who God is and what He wants from us.

We explained the concept of God in Islam to him. During the conversation, another man jumped in and wanted to know what happens after this life. We told him this life is a test. Almighty gave us free will to choose between the right and the wrong.
On the day of judgment, each person will be held accountable for their deeds. Allah will do justice, and based on the outcomes, their permanent house will be determined as either hell or heaven.
After explaining to the person, the pastor said that’s the difference for him. Jesus already paid, so he’s free now. May Al- Hadi give him Hidayah, Ameen.
A Christian Lad Who Doesn’t Pray To Jesus
We had another conversation with a young lad named Emmanuel. He was from a Christian background but believes there’s one God. He doesn’t pray to Jesus. He was with his Muslim friends, and they were in a hurry.
We explained to him who God is and what He wants from us. How He conveyed His message to humanity. We also advised his friends to constantly give him Dawah. Their continued efforts could change his life and bring him to the light of Islam.
What Is Worship In Islam? Discussion With An Interfaith MK In Bletchley
David, a volunteer from MK Interfaith, joined the conversation. He appreciated the Muslim definition of worship. This was the topic that brother Ahmad from the MK Dawah team covered with him last week.
That worship isn’t just 5 times prayer and prostration. Being good to your parents, neighbours, colleagues, and treating everyone with a smile is an act of worship in Islam. We had an interesting debate with him and had to stop for the day. Because we were running late for Zuhr prayer.
He invited us to attend this year’s multi-faith event, “Festival of Faith,” at the Church Cornerstone in CMK on 5th November at 7 pm.
A Christian Brother Fascinated That Muslims Believe In Jesus
Who is Jesus in Islam? What do Muslims believe about Jesus? These questions come from a Christian brother who stopped by, interested in knowing about Islam. MK Dawah volunteer briefed him about different prophets in Islam and the miracles of Jesus.
In Islam, Jesus is one of the great Prophets named Messiah Ibn Maryam. Allah SWT blessed Him with many miracles. He talked in his infancy, cure people who were blind or affected with leprosy.

He made a bird from clay and breathed life into it with the permission of Allah. He told people about the unseen, what they had eaten or had in their houses. He requested and received a table of food from heaven. He also brought back a dead into life.
The talk was short, but he was amazed by listening to everything about Jesus. Even in a short time after the conversation, he left with a copy of the Quran.
Join Milton Keynes Dawah Team & Make A Difference
The day was quiet at our two locations for almost three-quarters of the session. People were taking the leaflets, but no one was stopping to have a discussion. Our team got a bit worried because the day was not looking productive.
Then Allah SWT recalled the intention in our hearts that it’s not us. But Allah SWT guides whomever He will. Our role is to ensure we call people towards Islam with wisdom. Then Allah put barakah in our efforts, and people began to stop and start engaging with us.
A Muslim family stopped to donate to do their part in spreading the message of truth in Milton Keynes. You can also play your part by volunteering your skills, giving your time, or partnering with us as an organization.
“And who is better in speech than one who calls to Allah, does righteous deeds, and says, ‘Indeed, I am of the Muslims.'”
